I bought this about 14 years ago. I responded to an ad in the local Recycler weekly for a 10" Rodgers table saw. When I arrived the seller asked if I would also be interested in this saw. His son had left them in his garage, and it sounded like he was tired of storing them. We agreed on a price and off I went to fetch a trailer.

I had new tires installed at Daley Saw in Southgate, CA. I also changed the bearings. I went over to Dan at Davis & Wells and he told me the factory guides were the best you can use on the saw. They do work great, but I added a closeup of the factory guides. In theory, you're supposed to "pinch" the solid block of cast iron and bring the guideblocks up to the blade by turning a screw. Instead, I bring the stock metal blocks on the left, right up to the blade. Then I add homemade hardwood blocks with shims to the right of the blade. In other words, I use custom thickness wood blocks/shims to reach the proper clearance for the blade instead of pinching the guide together.

This is a great saw. I use an old 3hp 3 phase Star-Kimble motor on it, which is real heavy so I added hardwood blocks and shims inder the motor mount brackets to help distribute the load.

This is the earlier version of the Davis & Wells 20" bandsaw.
