Acquired this saw sitting on ground at local flea market from individual that I know buys out estates, buys at auctions, etc. Name hand written on tools included with saw and name/info etched on saw lead me to think that this saw passed from father to son somewhat recently and then to estate sale soon enough after. It appears 'almost new' in many aspects and probably sat unused for many years. Most paint appears original, ways/carriage are smooth and tight, it is mostly just wonderful to look at. At some point in the not too distant past a new power chord was installed by a less than fully competent individual. The end housing was removed with less than intelligence and it did leave some marks around circumference. Previous owner also added name, city and zip code in several places. May have been proud, worried, whatever... 'Show Quality' if not for that.
