Comments:
I scored this machine off an older gentleman at a garage sale in Newark, Delaware last week. I stopped by as he was packing away his stuff for the day and he did not want to carry this back down to his basement. He offered it to me for $10 and I almost broke my arm reaching for my wallet.

Very original Rockwell/Delta 34-600 9" table saw with 4" jointer combo. It is pretty complete with the original Delta-tagged 3/4 hp motor and micro-adjustable fence. A call to Delta's tech line showed that this machine was manufactured in March of 1957. The motor fired right up and spun as smooth as glass. The original switch was not grounding properly (ask me how I found that out), so I replaced it with a new, original style switch from Lowe's. The only other issue is that the roll pin for the crank and shaft that raises and lowers the blade height has sheared off inside the shaft. It will require drilling out the pin and replacing it with a slightly larger diameter pin, an easy and inexpensive fix. It is also missing the miter guide, but that seems to be an easy eBay find. The blade spins smooth and true, and the fence moves freely and accurately.

Plans are to do a simple restoration, which should be relatively easy. Just a fresh coat of gray over the already decent paint, clean up the base, and clean up the light surface rust that has developed on the table top. Being a hot rodder, I'll probably have my friend Anthony White lay down some killer Von Dutch-style stripes on it to make it look as good as it runs.
