I purchased the shaper for $200 from an antique shop that had in turn purchased it from an estate auction. The machine was in good condition. It had a 3 hp 3-phase motor which I replace with a 3 hp single-phase motor. I sandblasted and repainted it. It has new spindle bearings. I also added a reversing switch. The machine is now in excellent condition.
