I purchased the jointer at an estate sale in Mobile, Alabama for $175. The jointer was in good condition, except for a heavy coat of surface rust on the table. The machine probably had not been used in 15 or more years. It still has the original Powermatic 1 1/2 hp single-phase cast iron motor. I sandblasted and repainted it. I also put new cutter head bearings, belts and knives. The machine is now like new again.
