I picked up this Delta/Rockwell 24" jig saw on it's original flared foot stand and Rockwell/Marathon Electric 1/3-hp 1725 rpm motor in a local bone yard reseller. After I cleaned it up a bit I plugged it in and low and behold the motor ran and the jig saw sounded very smooth...it had been sitting out in a junk yard with a plastic tarp on it for a least 6 months so I was not sure of the internal mechanical condition. I've repainted the jig saw with a new mix of "Delta Gray" mixed from US Paints Awl Grip medium gray tweaked with some black to match the original Delta color. So far I have spent very little on this restoration...even the original belt was in great shape.
