Very nice machine offered on ebay with an auction end date of March 30, 2004. These are great machines. I've seen one in action before and they make a nice, quick mortise. The one that I saw was used in a cabinet shop and was used mostly for face frame joints. You talk about quick and easy. The machine uses a chain similar to that of a chain saw. The seller (Odie White http://www.odiewhitemachinery.com) added the following:

RARE HEAVY DUTY Powermatic hydraulic chain mortiser, Model 40, SN 4105, 5HP3PH main motor, 3/4HP hydraulic pump motor, wired 220V, 7"X48" table moves vertically-horizontally-laterally & tilts to 45 degrees, 4 1/2" stroke, current chain is 1/2"X2 1/4", foot pedal operates hydraulics, gravity feed drip oiler for chain.
