Very cool, pretty rare Powermatic Model 1100 15" variable-speed drill press. Overall, it was in great shape when I got it. It was missing the variable-speed arm and arm bracket that raised and lowered the front pulley. I ordered one from Redmond Machinery and with just a bit of drilling, tapping, and grinding we were back in business(I have a hunch that the one that came was off an 1150. It was close but not quite like the original). My favorite part is the quick-adjust depth stop. Just give it a squeeze and it disengages from the threads and can be shifted up or down smoothly and quickly. It works so well that it makes me wonder why they ever got rid of that design. This thing goes from 600 to 4750 rpm. It sounds like it is about to break the sound barrier when it is at top speed. It has a serial number that seems to predate any of the manuals that are currently online(all the manuals that I have found start at 1000).
