I consider this a very lucky find it came from basement where it resided since new, I believe the PO stated. He said it was his grandfathers. The original owner made some mods like mounted the light to the side of the case. It also had a custom slo speed 3rd pulley which also required the front cover to be removed. I found a replacement cover. The table, base and cover were the only parts cleaned and painted. The column only was cleaned with steel wool and oil. Not to sound like I am gloating but I am amazed at the lack of rust on this unit for it's age. The motor was only wiped down looks like original condition. The lamp and socket were wiped with fine steel wool and oil just lightly and it revealed a shine like new almost. This is my first old Delta drill press and I am impressed with the beauty and smoothness and balance of operation of these units.
