I have an old 17" Delta drill press which is not uncommon. However, the gentleman that I bought the drill from had put an RI 1 hp motor on it that was the wrong vintage for the age of the machine. Recently I found a 3/4 HP RI motor on ebay that was the correct vintage but was a little tattered. See before and after pictures to get a better idea of what I am talking about. After a new set of bearings, and getting all the parts back together I hooked up my test circuit and fired her up. This motor purrs like a kitten!!
