>>HISTORY<<
I purchased this drill press, along with three other blue Sears machines, in a private local sale in 2010.
(The others included a 101.0103 bandsaw, 102.05600 jointer and 534.09760 shaper.)
The previous owner obtained this machine from an auction. No further info is known.

>>MACHINE<<
Sears Master Craftsman 15" bench model drill press, built by Atlas Press of Kalamazoo Michigan.
I partially disassembled the machine to lube the moving parts, adjust the return spring and clean the column.
The head, table and quill coordinate clamps were jammed in their bores, so I sanded and filed the outside diameters to a smooth fit.
A previous owner installed hand tighten accessory knobs over the original motor mount adjustment bolts. They work so well that I left them.
The original belt, chuck removal wedge and key were included.
I added the Atlas intermediate pulley for low speed operation.
I also added a 1945 Craftsman 1/2hp 1750rpm motor, model 115.5829.
I reworked the motor cord wiring.
The hot lead loop cord comes out of the original toggle location in the base and has a two prong female plug.
The switch cord from the head is equipped with a two prong male plug.
This allows me to easily separate the motor from the drill press, as needed.

UPDATE-September 2017:
I no longer own this drill--sold it to a fellow OWWMer.
