This lathe was in the wood shop where I went to high school. When I had wood shop we were not allowed to touch it because we were in the academic course and not in the vo-ag course therefore we used handtools only. This year it came up at the school auction. They are ending their woodworking shop. From now on it is construction not woodworking. I bought the lathe, now let them tell me not to touch it. One of the students had scratched the f bomb into the paint and several parts had been welded back together (apparently by students)in the metal shop. It was 3 phase which is not an option in my shop. I repowered it with single phase and gave it a facelift and here it is. The bearings were all in good shape and it came with enough extra stuff to sell on ebay to help pay for the new motor. Now all it needs is riser blocks.
