Comments:
I got this Walker-Turner 4" Jointer off Lady in Austin who conducts estate sales. This was a left over and no one wanted to pick it up since it was so heavy...lol
She told me the original owner of the estate was a contractor and this was his jointer. I paid her $20 for this jointer.

I cleanerd it up and it is now in a fully functional condition if a motor was added, the blades are still sharp and the origianl SKF bearings are still in great condition also. Someone was messing with the front table adjustment knob and started twisting on it without loosening up the under table lock knob and sheared it off sicne it is only an aluminum alloy cast knob. I moved the one you see here in the pictures off the bottom and had another extra knob "in stock" that fit perfectly for the under table front lock-down knob you cannot see visually.

The P715 4" jointers have the unique Walker-Turner geared fence tilting system that is just way beyond cool, also the drive pulley on this manchie is made of solid copper which I have never seen one like it before.

Note: I am missing the original blade guard so if you have an extra Driver line Walker-Turner 4" jointer blade guard laying around please contact me.

Update: This Jointer has been sold to a Guitar repair (also builds guitars) shop in Austin, TX and I have mounted it to a mid 1990's Craftsman power tool stand I had on hand and set up a 1938 1/3-HP motor on it that I also cleaned up/restored. This Jointer runs very smooth and quite, it makes beautiful perfect cuts. This is an amazing small 4" jointer (especially the geared tilting fence system)considering it was Walker-Turner's home owner targeted "value line" to compete with the Sears and Delta/Homecraft homeowner lines.
