Comments:
I picked this up from an amazing man who had been accumulating cars and scrap in his backyard for almost 50 years. He welded the scrap into sculptures which are displayed in various places around town here. He had acquired two machines years ago. One was a Crescent 20" band saw and the other was this quirky Newton belt sander which can twist into many configurations. I am missing one of the table accessories for using it as a horizontal edge sander, but I have been hoping that with the remaining pieces I could design something that could work. The accessories bolt to a single mounting position at the junction of the base column and the rotating sanding component. I did not buy the band saw, even though he only wanted $150 for it. A few days later when I had changed my mind it had already sold.

One additional quirk about this machine is that the motor currently runs the wrong direction, but I am hoping that there is some way to change that.
