Acquired in an auction of state surplus machinery. They were "upgrading" equipment. Based on comparison of drawings in Crescent catalogs I would guess this machine was made between 1941 and 1945. It is clearly a Crescent No. 10, but is cast with a Rockwell logo. It will take up to a 16" blade -- possibly larger. It is a tilty top with a sliding table to the left of the blade. There is no throat plate as the sliding table comes right up next to the blade. There is also an overarm blade guard for the machine that is not represented in the pictures. It has a 3 phase 7.5 HP motor. The motor itself is very unique as it has integrated dovetail ways that ride on a corresponding cast dovetail on the machine. The outboard end of the motor shaft is also threaded, presumably to mount a mortising attachment which would be an accessory for a No. 10 saw.
