I stumbled on this grinder at auction at the Driver-Harris Co. in Harrison, NJ. Also known as Harrison alloys, the plant , for many years drew wire of many types and sizes. From mixing alloys in their foundry, to the rolling mill, then drawing the wire through increasingly smaller dies and finally onto spools the whole process was done on site.
I was considering a lot no one else was interested in in the woodshop. Listed as: "including a flamable liquids cabinet, misc. hardware, plywood, and insulation rolls". A last glance I spied the grinder I immediatly recognized as an Oliver behind some plywood. I asked the auctioneer if evrything along the wall was included. He said I could take the wall as well. I got the whole lot for $100, which also included 12 very servicable hand screws.
It is 110V and works well. I'd like to clean it up someday but it is not to high on the list. I thought it interesting it reccomends kerosine on the resivour caps as a lubricant.
