Comments:

This machine came from a pattern shop in an old foundry in Longview, WA. It is in the background in a photo from 1928, the shop opened in 1922. The original bed was 8 foot long. I've modified it for bowl turning. 17 " between centers. 3hp 3ph motor running on a VFD which also serves as the speed control. The PO converted it from flat-belt to v-belt drive by simply turning a notch in the wooden pulley.
