Recently purchased lathe from the estate of a friend - a retired high school woodshop teacher and talented wood turner and carver, whose work was shown in galeries. The lathe had been part of his woodshop class equipment - which he purchased from his school district and maintained in great shape. It has six speeds - 660, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2700 and 3550. It is mounted on a stamped metal stand. The motor is 1/2 HP. The ID plate is in perfect shape and lists the catalog # as 46-510, and the serial # as 1302720. The manufacturer is named as Rockwell Mfg. Co., of Pittsburg, PA. From these numbers I am assuming that it was mfg. circa 1962, during the Bellefountaine (Ohio) Years. If I am wrong here, I would appreciate a correction. I will submit two pictures - #1, a closeup of the headstock, and #2, an overall view.
