acquired from Edson's Kerrcrafters in 2013 as they were getting out of the business after 75 years. This machine was bought new by Edson's in 1959, making me the proud second owner. Was obviously very well taken care of, and came with a foot pedal/lever that i have yet to try out (was unattached when i bought it). Possibly the foot pedal is the reason for the "S" in the serial number? or because it isn't variable speed? or was this an institutional machine or something? anyways, what a beauty. 1/2HP
