Comments:
The first owner was M.I.T. The second owner was Don Jewell of Penacook, NH. I am the third owner, and have had the lathe for 2 years. The taper attachment came from a different lathe made in 1920. I have the 3 and 4 jaw chucks that I believe were original equipment (8 - 1/2" diameter), and the steady rest. I do not have the follow rest. The spindle is 2 - 1/4 X 6 and #4 MT, and 1" bore through. The chip pan is cast iron. The tailstock had an odd taper, so I enlarged it to MT #3. I have also fitted a modern 6" three jaw chuck with removable top jaws, and a 5C collet chuck.

This is the most solid and vibration-free lathe I have every used. It is simply a joy to use!
