Comments:
I acquired this engine from my Dad. I remember him having it as far back as the early 1960s. I suspect it came from my Grandfathers scrap metal yard in Brooklyn NY probably late 1950's or early 60's. I do not know any other history of this engine. Since it is water cooled it may have been designed as a marine engine. I do not believe this engine has ever been run. It may have been repainted (some paint is flaking off) but the original colors underneath are similar. The only markings are "Whitney London". The stroke is about 1.5". The flywheel is about 4.5" in diameter. The overall height of the block is about 8". The crankcase end cover with the markings is 3" in diameter. I could not measure the bore without disassembling but it appears to be about 1.5" also.
