Found this saw in a classified add. The guy I bought this saw from said it was left behind by the previous homeowner when he purchased his new house. It was in pretty bad shape, and I think I paid about $80 bucks for both the saw and the factory stand. I completely disassembled the saw and repaired what needed it, sandblasted, repainted, and re-wired it to run on 220v.
As a former custom cabinet and furniture maker, I have used plenty of radial arm saws over the years. I have to say that this is one of the finest radial arm saws I have ever used. Nothing overbuilt, nothing underbuilt, plenty of power, easily adjustable, and enough cast iron for solid precise work. This saw model is one of the "they don't make 'em like they used to" poster childs.
