I found this Powermatic 66 table saw on Craig’s List; it had been stored in an open barn for about 3 years. I purchased it for $450 and after restoration I have a total of $1100 in it. I replaced the motor because it was a 3 phase 2 HP motor, and purchased a lesson 3hp, single phase, 240v and a new switch. The saw was taken apart piece by piece and sandblasted, and then I repainted it with matched paint to the original. The knobs on the wheels I had to recreate by pouring plastic and turning them on my lathe matching the original red color. All the chrome I shipped to Chrome Masters to have restored, they did an incredible job. I also disassembled the Biesemeyer fence using the same process as above. The front rail I had to replace with a thicker wall tube, because the original was dented where it was used most of the time.
