After stopping by to pick-up an old Walker-Turner shaper, the seller said "Do you have any interest in an old jig saw?" Well, I already have a Craftsman / W-T that I really like, but who can turn down old iron? He shows me this, a late '40s King Seeley. $25 later and it's mine. It doesn't run right now, it needs some work on its vaunted "Walking Beam Action" system. But it looks pretty.

Update: I've repaired the saw with a couple of e-clips and a new bushing that I lovingly hand-crafted from a faucet washer. Bolted on a 1/4 hp Emerson motor, rewired the light, and tracked down some 6" blades from Sloan's Woodshop: http://www.sloanswoodshop.com/scroll_saw_blades.htm. Then I gave it to my father for Christmas.

No new pics since I didn't do anything cosmetic to the saw. It looks almost as good as new already.
