Comments:
This saw was bought new by my father in the summer of 1943, right after my family had moved into an old farm house and less than a year after I was born. Dad used it extensively in remodeling and modernizing the old place. It was the only table saw dad ever owned. When dad passed away in 1986, the saw got stashed in an old chicken coop where it collected dirt, rust and bird droppings until I rescued it in the mid-90's. I cleaned it up, oiled it up, replaced the power switch and power cord (the switch box is the same one that has always been there), put a new blade in it and built a table for it. The motor is still the original (note the manual oilers), though I had to replace the starter capacitors to get it to run. It still works perfectly, it is the only table saw I own and I use it frequently.
