Comments:
This is my fourth old woodworking machine restoration. It’s a Red Fox Planer (12 X 4 inch) SN: N498 which makes the year of manufacture circa 1940s, I suspect. It’s powered by a 1HP 3 phase Allis Chalmers motor. Three phase power is supplied via a Teco VFD hidden in the stand. The stand is red oak (quarter sawn mostly, as I use up my supply) with a maple top. The oak is finished with amber shellac over red mahogany stain, and the top is amber shellac.

I bought this machine from a Craig’s List ad in Michigan, and had it Ruckered to home, here in Georgia.
