This is an early example of Delta's "newer version" of their carbide tool grinder. (The original model was made from WW II until it was declared "OBSOLETE" in the 1963 catalog.) This three phase model was found, incredibly, at a neighborhood yard sale! I asked the nice lady how much she wanted for this old tool..."I have to get my husband for that!" was her response. Turns out that a friend of his picked it up at a school auction and never got around to putting a VFD on it. Overall it's in good shape, but is missing the lamp, miter gauge and the water pot stop cock and spout - it does have the optional overload switch, cast iron pedestal and original paint in good condition...Not a bad find while doing errands on a Saturday afternoon :)
