Found this radial arm saw on crags list, got it for 150 in Oct. 04. The antique dealer that I got it from said that he had been using it for about 10 years and that he purchased it from an old guy several years before but didn?t know anything more of it?s history. I have completely disabled it and found I was not the first to do so. The motor was caked solid with saw dust, their were bear wires inside the terminal box on the motor, sheared off screw heads and dried hardened grease everywhere the column. Still I found it to be in generally good shape considering its age. I cleaned, regreased rewired and repainted it. While very similar to other Rockwell/Delta models it has several differences, most notable is the switch integral with the handle. The only info I have found for this exact saw came from the Ace Tool Repair Site. The 10 plus name and the extra large guard implies to me that a 10 or 12 inch blade can be used with this saw. Upgrades include a new 12 inch blade, a 5 quarter top (a retired school desk top), and a lock out switch on the right side of the arm. It will replace a 770 Dewalt Powershop that I have had for bout 20 years.
