Comments:
This was my first shaper, purchased in the Quad Cities in 2000.

About the size of router table, there is very little "light-duty" in comparison to other small shapers. The height adjustment is not as precise as its big brother's, the Rockwell/Delta Heavy Duty, but it's miles better than most shapers (and router tables) of this size.

Note the extra l-o-n-g frame motor and wide drive pulley to accomomdate spindle travel. These, along with the belt/pulley guard, are often missing on examples of the LD shaper.

This shaper served me well for many years, but was replaced by a 1948 Four-footer HD Shaper. It was was sold to fellow OWWMer Kirk Poore at ArnFest '06.
