This lathe belongs to James Hause (jameshhause(at)comcast.net). James is looking for a three or four jaw chuck for this lathe. It apparently has a 1-1/8" shaft, 8 tpi.

Based on patent numbers and Serial Number registry info, this lathe is from after 1918 and before the mid-1920s. Call it circa 1920.

James provided the following additional information:
The bed is 60" long and 36-1/4" to top of the bed. The overall width of the bed is 6-9/16" wide with a 1-1/2"
split for the tool rest. The 60" long beam is 5-1/16" high. A brass plate on the right end reads:
Shop Number 526362 (Serial No.?)
Cast into the frame in the back is AMERICAN and a number that appears to be 500141

It has four speeds, 500 RPM, 1200 RPM, 1800 RPM and 3600 RPM Controlled by a: Westinghouse
Controller. 1/2 HP, 220 Volts, 3 Phase, 60 Cycles, Style: 316780A
Westinghouse electrical Manufacturing Co. East Pittsburgh Works Pittsburgh, PA

The drive motor is Westinghouse, Type CSA Shop No. 526363 Induction Motor Frame 867, 1/2 HP,
220 Volts, 3 Phase, 2.0 Amps per Terminal, 1725 RPM's at Full Load, Style 18B558, Serial No. 2833818, Temp. Rise 55 Degrees at 100 percent load
Patented Numbers are: 1-2-12, 12-10-12, 10-27-14, 8-17-15, 10-12-15, 5-22-17, 9-17-18
