My wife purchased the lathe for my birthday from Rockwell International's surplus sales store in Anaheim, CA, in 1977-78. It was new, not used. It was originally painted black and yellow. I re-painted the yellow portions gray. I made the bench that the lathe is mounted on. The tail stock center shown was not part of the original lathe package, it was purchased from Delta at a later time. I have all of the original tool rests, face plates, etc., but they are not shown in the first picture below.
