Comments:
I bought this Sears Craftsman 10" Radial Arm Saw and all its accessories used in 1980 from a friend who was moving to the state of Maine and he needed to get rid of it for the move. This saw was manufactured in 1975 and it works really well. My friend had the motor rebuilt and the motor carriage upgraded before he sold it to me. Apparently there was a problem with the motor carriage cracking due to a manufacturer's flaw so he had it upgraded to a better one. The accessories that came with this machine include; a 1/4 inch collet that transforms the machine into an overhead router for making mouldings, Hold Downs for the router setup, a 7" Wobble Dial-In Type Dado Blade, and a Drum Sander. I use it as a cut off saw mainly and for cutting dados for book shelves. It has given me many years of good service and I still use it to this day. It cuts straight and true and its not hard to set it up for square cuts after making angle cuts. I plan to build a better base for this machine sometime in the near future.
