Comments:
Purchased this off Craigslist a few years back. It is a 12" x 4' Cone Head model, was built on April 25, 1919. The original owner was the Burroughs Adding Machine Company, Detroit, Michigan and a later date it was owned by Synthethic Yarns, Inc., Woonsocket, Rhode Island. This was the smallest lathe Hendey offered. Spindle to tailstock is a little of 17". I disassembled, cleaned and painted it. Had to repair a few gears that had some stripped teeth. This lathe weighted just over 1400 lbs without the transmission box. The transmission box on top had 4 speeds.

I have since sold the lathe and replaced it with a South Bend 13". Wanted to add it here to the archives as there are not many Hendey's represented. Especially this smallest version.
