I bought a 1947 Unisaw from the same gentleman and when picking up that saw, admired this drill press (and its sequential s/n brother) and a few other great machines he had stored away for decades. Once cash exchanged hands and the Uni was loaded, I bid the seller a warm goodbye and a passing request to "keep me in mind" if he decided to let go of the DP, fully expecting I'd hear nothing or simply see it listed for sale. Fast forward a month, when I received an email from him, saying he'd be eventually selling the DP but if I was interested, make him an offer. After thanking him for his thoughtfulness, my "what I could afford" offer was perfectly fine with him and I soon got her home.

As for the machine, it has a 220V wired-3/4HP-3PH motor, power feed, slow speed pulley set and a very nice production table. Though stiff from sitting around unattended for a couple of decades, all operational features and interfaces seem to be in good order. Even the power feed dis/engagement seems to operate well, though it will need some attention to make it sing. For anyone who hasn't seen one of these machines in person, it is a BEAST! And heavy - well over 400 lbs as configured.
