I am a woodworking enthusiast, with a small home shop in NY. I recently purchased a lathe from a gentleman who inherited it from his father. The lathe appears to be a Delta/Homecraft Cast Iron Bed 11" x 36" Lathe. The Serial Number on the lathe is AP 4036. According to the Delta Vintage Project website, the serial number may indicate a manufacture date of 1953. The Head Stock and Tail Stock numbers are DDL-291 and DDL-276 respectively.
I plan to restore and use the lathe in my shop, but first I'm trying to correctly identify this lathe and find the appropriate owners/users manual.
