I could certainly use some expertise with this jointer, IE: age and model number. I haven't been able to find much on the machine but some part numbers; and they turn up very little, and the Delta badge. I guess you're supposed to be able to figure out where it was built and year by the badge, but I have not been successful at finding anything. Does not have the original motor. I've replaced the 3/4hp that was on it when I inherited it from my dad with a 1hp at 1725 rpm. The 3/4 hp was a 3450 rpm with a 5" sheave for a table saw and was spinning the knives around 6,000 rpm. I now have a 5 inch sheave on the motor and a 2.5" on the jointer to get closer to 3500 rpm. Cuts are much cleaner at this speed.
