I couldn't get an exact history, but the machine was painted a dark green over the original lighter green and had the faded #7 on it.
I found it on CL. It was to be scrapped if it wasn't sold, and I just couldn't allow that to happen. As it turned out, the machine was actually in good repair. The ways are tight and the screws have only .005" to .010" backlash- not bad for an old machine. I installed new bearings and took care in re-assembling it to very good condition. I did have to make a few small parts.
