Comments:
This 4 1/4" Craftsman jointer was purchased about 1994 from owner in Half Moon Bay, CA. It has a shop-built plywood stand and a Westinghouse 1/4 hp capacitor-start motor.
I cleaned up rust from the coastal salt air, painted fence and blade cover, replaced blade cover spring and sharpened the blades. The cutterhead was running at half-speed because the 1725 RPM motor had a pulley sized for a 3650 RMP motor. I replaced the original 3" pully with a 6" one and I've been using it for the last 10 years. My father had a model similar to this that he purchased about 1949.
