Comments:
Purchased this lathe from a friend about thirty years ago, with the wooden bench and with limited tooling. It does have the permanent taper turning attachment that many look for. In recent years, the drive system has been rearranged to an overhead position to save on the wasted room on the back side of the normal horizontal drive set up. In the conversion, nothing was permanently altered and can be easily be returned to the original setup. The up rights for the motor drive are "T" fence posts bolted together and are surprisingly rigid.

The belt is a glued up auto serpentine type and works just fine.

The lathe has been raised with 4 X 4 Maple glued up blocks, both to raise the center line and allow more room for a chip tray.
