Comments:
This saw was in the same family since new. It was purchased from the Grandson of the original owner who lived in Lewiston Maine. The saw was complete, 1/3 HP plain bearing motor, all cast iron construction, equipped with ball bearings and in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. The original owner was VERY clever and managed to adapt parts from a 14 inch Delta bandsaw to make a serviceable lower blade guide. Overall the saw is very stout, the wheels are very heavy, but for some reason the manufacturer used 12mm shafts, which could pose a problem if a different size pully was desired. The table surface was not ground, or planed, circular machine marks indicate some sort of lathe was used. After replacing the tires and bearings and other odds and ends the tool operates flawlessly. This tool is a good companion to its Delta 20 inch younger brother.
