Comments:
This machine was purchased at auction from a company that manufactured high end retail display cases. The birth certificate provided by Eagle Machinery said that the saw was shipped to the Westinghouse Company in Bloomfield, NJ in August 1941. Nothing more is known about the machine's history. The saw was in good working condition, but was missing the miter and needed a face lift.
The tables were removed from the saw and it was prepped for painting and painted Oliver green. The two motors had new bearings installed and a new solenoid was purchased for the braking mechanisms. Interestingly enough, the two 5 hp motors were labeled Westinghouse.
