Clausing told me that it was manufactured in 1991 and sold to Gardena Industrial Supply in Los Angeles. It appears that it was owned at some point by CLA engineering (not sure who that was/is) from some old badging on the machine. I purchased it from IA Industrial supply in Huntington Park, CA and had it shipped to Utah. I cleaned it up and installed a VFD to run the 3 phase motor. I installed an Albrecht chuck which was really the only thing which could have improved it. I love this machine; it runs dead true and is a pleasure to use.
