Comments:
I purchased this saw at an IRS auction in NC several years ago. Saw was plug and play when purchased. Tires had been recently replaced, the bandsaw guides had been rebuilt with new Carter wheels and carbide blade guides. Saw was used to make curved frames for upholstered furniture. The only change I've made to saw was to crown tires, and add fence. The fence is unknown European style, with rail fabricated from cold rolled bar stock.

I've got order and shipping papers from Yates American. Saw was ordered in July of 1929 by Danville Public Schools in Danville, VA. The machine was List Y 30-2 and Floor plan FP 1. Saw has 3 HP 900 rpm Louis Allison motor, 220 V 3 phase direct drive with aluminum wheels. Machine was completed on 11-22-1929 and shipped 12-2-1929.
