This was found on Brookfield Wisconsin...Clist. A very very interesting little band saw. It has a very very nice spring loaded upper wheel tensioner....Over the top silky smooth adjustments throughout. Upper wheel has a very robust height adjustment as well. It is marked in cast St. Paul Vocational school. I am guessing Minnesota. In the early days of the 19th century...vocational high schools really trained students for working in heavy industry.....I suspect it was made in a high school...hats off to the teacher....and of course...to the students.... any information by the viewers would be great. I am curious about its makers..anyway..

Update: The St. Paul Vocational School, St. Paul Minnesota, had vocational programs in a wide variety of trade/skills including pattern making and foundry. This band saw was a class project. It strongly appears that they used a Crescent band saw as their model, downsizing it to 12" wheels. As the class was pattern making and foundry, and not industrial design, we ended up with the excessively tall and overbuilt upper wheel height adjustment for a 12" saw! The saw was purchased by another OWWM member. Admin: DG
