I found this machine on FB MP and picked it up in Massachusetts north of the Rhode Island border on November 17, 2020. The seller does whole house and garage cleanouts, of course he had no information on the history.
These saws have model numbers cast into the frame or the wheel cover. This is the first model SB-1402 documented on this site; I'd like to do a side-by-side comparison with the SB-1400, which is well represented on this site and the only model number I've seen in catalogs.
This machine had been damaged and poorly repaired at the hinges for the wheel cover. The hinges are not that beefy, and snapped off. The weld job barely holds it in place, but it's not lined up very well.
If anyone has a wheel cover available, or even a whole machine, please contact me.
