Purchased at a local auction. Machine had been crudely converted from direct drive to pillow block bearings; the entire yoke was missing and the main casting had portions cut off. The machine was in poor repair. The original 2-knife cutter-head had been butchered when the conversion was done. It came with a 3 hp Century RI motor, original fence, and a damaged after-market cutter-head guard.

The machine almost went to the scrappers twice. When all the pieces finally came together, a replacement 3-knife cutter-head (Porter) waas installed on a new bearing system requiring a complete new mounting arrangement. It is again a fine machine that performs flawlessly. It is joy to use. All the original features and adjustments are fully functional.
