I bought this new sometime in 2008 I think.It is probably one of the last of the USA made powermatic.The nice feature on these is the easy spindle change.I bought 1 " and 1 1/4 inch spindles in addition to the stock 3/4".I would catorgaorize this as a light to medium duty shaper.I would hesitate to run some of my larger cutters because it's really not built heavily underneath.I save the big stuff for my Yates N4.Still a very nice shaper overall.
