This jointer was purchased from Oliver Machinery Company by the New York State Canal Authority in 1951.
I purchased it from them in 2022. It had seen minimal use, and was well maintained throughout the 71 years it was in their shop.
It was ordered new with the optional 4 knife head. The 4 7/8" diameter head is powered by a 5 HP Woods shaftless motor.
Paint is original, with some touch up where it had been chipped. The original guard is still with the machine, but is not shown in the photo.
