from the deVoe estate, I think this was in an ammo can filled with drill chucks in his basement . the chuck was pretty gummed up, I took it apart (the sleeve slides off like a Jacobs chuck, the design is nearly if not exactly identical - there is a split ring to drive the jaws) -the precision is not as good as the Jacob's though the inside of the knurled sleeve needed to be machined to clear the body (this was already done). I did not take photos of the disassembled chuck
