Comments:
I don’t know much history about this machine. Was owned by an older gentleman who used it in his home work shop. He recently passed away and his family began selling-off his tools and machinery. Cosmetically, it was in sad shape. Rusty, chipped, and covered in three or four different coats of paint. Mechanically, much better. No damage to the shafts, bearings, or mechanisms. Almost all the parts were present. Just needed torn apart, stripped, cleaned, polished, and repainted. Has the original Atlas Super Power 1/2 hp motor (model 2490). Added the correct toggle switch, correct drive belt, and repainted it the color it was when it was born 80 some years ago. This is my first restoration project. Won’t be my last!

Comments: I upgraded the electrical— junction box, 14-3 wire, and grounded plug. Incorporated a vintage work light. Also added a column mounted shelf made out of 3/4” plywood.

Comments: (Before photo) As I stripped off the multiple layers of paint, I found at least three shades of green, silver, and the OEM color which was a dark machinery gray.
